100 days 100 blocks - 91-100

i can't believe i just made my last post yesterday and now my instagram must return to normal posting status... do i even remember how to do that?
i was planning on keeping these last blocks a bit more simple and less fussy cut... buuuuuuut the shapes were just so perfect for some (aka all) of these blocks.
do i have a vision of how these blocks are all going to come together?  not a single bit.  but i do know that i have a few dates with a long arm rental in the next month and a half, and i 100% want to get this one done before christmas.  cross your fingers and toes while staying tuned for that post!
also, just 5 days until i find out if i'm one of the grand prize winners!

100 days 100 blocks - 81-90

holy cow, here we are inching closer to the finish line!
this set of blocks wraps up the square section, which was quite a bit of fun, and rolls right on in to the final "haiku" chapter.  i am really looking forward to being able to FINALLY lay all these blocks out and see how they look together.  with this project wrapping up, it also means that my sewing area will be a lot less brightly colored... but i feel like i might be finding scraps of this foundation fabric clear until thanksgiving.
all the cuteness from these fussy cuts make it all worth it :)

100 days 100 blocks - 71-80

so i know i said i was excited for triangles (which i still have no shame in saying i love triangles at all) BUT i think the squares section produced some of my favorite blocks.
yes, i put fussy cuts in ALL OF THEM... because i had to.  they were perfect, and i love them, and yay.
these blocks actually feature a majority of my storybook fabrics, which started to become an underlying theme of the quilt as well, and my faux mr. rogers tribute block (more about that one on my instagram) fit right in with the batch.  i cannot believe that we're inching closer to the end, with the final block to be posted just weeks away on instagram.  before we know it, it will be time to quilt this beast and throw it on my bed for a good rainbow filled night's sleep.

100 days 100 blocks - 61-70

not gonna lie, i had a lot of fun with some of these stripes!
i'll admit, some got a little wonky towards the end when it was stripes on stripes on stripes... but i'll probably tweak those ones a bit (and starch the crud out of them) before they become a final quilt top.  i'm also coming to find i'm going to have a LOT of random fabrics leftover... which means i'll have SO many more options for future quilt project!  i mean in these 10, there are multiple fish/ocean themed ones... must be my initiation for a life of fussy cutting.  hoorah!

100 days 100 blocks - 51-60

we are officially past the halfway mark, can you believe it?
not only that, but this set of blocks ends the triangle section and jumps on in to stripes!
this was also the bunch that ended my presewn blocks, which has made it fun to get back in to block planning.  i've purchased some new fabrics to fussy cut from, such as the taco fabric that i HAD to have!  this batch of blocks had another fun set of some being fussy cut, while others being just a balance of color.  40 more blocks to go!
